In fact, these are donut-like fried dough ball that’s very easy to make, since you don’t have to wait for the dough to rise, and it consists of only five ingredients:
flour (I always mix white and some of the integral, for example, buckwheat)
baking powder
salt
yogurt
mineral water
if desired, you can add sesame or flax seeds
The quantity is “reactive”, that is, if you are making this for two people, you will need two cups of plain flour and one cup of some of the integral ones. In that mixture, add one pack of baking powder, three tablespoons of salt and mix everything. Add half a glass of mineral water, and boil yogurt until you get a soft dough that can be separated from your hands:

If you are in a hurry, you don’t have to wait for the dough to rise, but I always leave it for about ten minutes covered, while the oil is warming up and while preparing the surface on which I will make the dough. Sprinkle the surface with flour and the put the dough on the flour, make a phyllo of thickness of about 0.7 cm, it should not be too thin. You cut it into squares like this:

On hot (but not too hot) oil, you bake the squares, just make sure they don’t burn because they don’t need more than half a minute on each side. As soon as they rise like a baloon, they need to be turned over.

You put them on a paper napkin to drain the excess oil, although, frankly, they are not greasy at all (because you put mineral water), so you don’t have to be afraid that you have entered too much fat. in your organism. We like to eat them mostly with kajmak, sour cream, ajvar or any jam, since they go great with sweet spreads.
