Can you guess why this cake got such a name? Because it consists of only few basic ingredients in a quantity of 1.5 glasses (a glass of 200 ml), it is very tasty and not too sweet. The filling always consists of some fruit, in my case it was strawberries, raspberries, cherries and a mixture of forest fruits. I used everything frozen, but if you have fresh, that’s even better. Some “basic” version of this cake is the one with apples and cinnamon, but this time I wanted to get away from these winter flavours, so I made this version. It is important that you know that, before putting fruit, it must be cooked with a little sugar, vanilla sugar, cloves, cinnamon or something else you like to put in cakes.
Ingredients for the dough:
• 5 eggs
• 1,5 cup of sugar
• 1,5 glasses of oil
• 1,5 cups of milk
• 1 bag of baking powder
• 1 vanilla sugar
• 15 teaspoons of all-purpose flour
* oil is missing in the photo, don’t get confused
First, mix eggs and sugar until the mixture is pale (sign that the mixture is well done), then add oil, milk, vanilla sugar, mix a little bit till everything comes together, add the baking powder and then the flour spoon by spoon. The mixture should be like the one for pancakes, if you are not sure if the density is ok.

First you pour only half the mixture and bake the same in a heated oven at 220 for some 12-15 minutes until it becomes a little bit rosy. In the meantime, prepare fruit by dropping 3 cups of fruit mixture (I used forest fruits, strawberries, raspberries and sour cherries), add a glass of sugar (this amount of sugar is because of the acidity of the fruit) and one pack of vanilla sugar and warm it o the stove while the fruit doesn’t release the juice and until the juice is reduced, so that the cake is not too wet. If you do it with apples, you need to grind them, add sugar and cinnamon powder, and simmer until they let go of juice that almost evaporates.
When the first part is almost done, remove it from the oven and put the filling on:

After that, put the rest of the mixture on the filling, do it evenly and put the cake back to the oven for another 30 minutes at 200 degrees (do not open the oven until the cake is completely baked!).

When the cake is done, sprinkle with sugar powder. Children especially love it because it works best with a glass of milk. Enjoy!:)
