I don’t know if there is anyone who doesn’t run low in sugar during the day? If that’s the case, then I really envy them. And if it’s a working day, you are in the office and often reach for some chocolate or biscuits, especially if you are a coffee lover. So, as I don’t want my conscience to bite me after this sweet escape, I found the ideal substitute for refined sugar, and the best thing is that all the ingredients are healthy. For doing this recipe you need only a few minutes, and the ingredients are:
- a cup of fresh dates
- a cup of shreded coconut
- 1/2 cup of ground walnuts
- 1/2 cup of ground almonds
- a hand of dried apricots
- a handful of banana chips (not necessarily)
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- 2 tablespoons of coconut butter

Ground all ingredients in a blender or in the machine that you usually use for grounding nuts. A tip: ground dates with coconut flour because they are very sticky. Only when you’ve gotten everything together, add coconut butter:

If the mixture is not sticky enough for making little bombs, add more of coconut butter. Make the balls and keep them in a slightly colder place, maybe in the fridge, since they soften at room temperature because of the butter. And don’t let your conscience bite you, this treat is very healthy. 🙂
